The Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 set the labelling and packaging requirements for chemical products sold to consumers in Canada — pictograms, signal words, first-aid statements, and child-resistant closures where required.

Transport of dangerous goods
The Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations govern classification, packaging, marking, and shipping documentation for regulated products moved by road, rail, air, or marine across Canada. The SDS section 14 carries the transport classification used for shipping.
